Branding & Website Creation
Providence is an engineering firm based in Central Pennsylvania with offices currently in six locations throughout the state. They approached Hamilton with an enthusiastic dream of rebranding the firm and launching a new website tied to their rapidly approaching 25th anniversary.
With the 25th anniversary six months away, we knew the task was ambitious, but we were on board. We loved what Providence was trying to do. After 25 years the firm had advanced their footprint, their capabilities and their staff. It was serendipitous timing to present their brand more accurately in the marketplace.
Forging the enhanced brand
We knew that Providence had entrusted a brand with impressive experience and deep relationships to our care. Before we started to present the direction for the new brand, we quickly spent lots of time getting to know what made up their unique DNA. We talked to the staff, we talked to their fans and we had many many conversations with the senior leadership team.
The new identity was the result of taking the critical data and making calculated moves based on the in-depth brand analysis. Our design team worked to create a combination word mark that suggested a skyline with multiple building types. We subtly yet intentionally introduced a “P” where the buildings meet to help reinforce Providence’s focus on the building industry.
With the refreshed brand now established, our team moved on to the site redesign work. We rethought the site’s navigational structure, directed a new photography initiative which helped to breathe new life into the firm’s available site visuals and expanded their site from a 20-30 page site to over 250 pages. The new site reflects today’s most modern design standards and is now a resource-packed tool complete with blog posts on the latest from Providence.
